Hypnosis to Help with Pain Issues

Hope is Realistic...Michael Ellner, renowned hypnotic pain relief expert, and I have created a program to help you help yourself! Check it out here.

Whether your pain is temporary or chronic, there are several ways hypnosis can change the way you experience it.

First, it's important to understand that when you feel a sensation of discomfort or pain in a particular area, what your brain is actually processing is an awareness of that sensation, not the sensation itself. Much like a message relayed along a telephone line, this awareness can be altered. It can be heightened and intensified, it can be turned down and even turned off, all through the power of thought.

Employing the inner healer through hypnosis is another powerful way to boost the natural healing abilities. By reducing the stress and pain experience, improving sleep quality and other basic functions, recovery may occur in a more timely fashion.

Anyone who lives with a chronic pain condition knows the emotional toll it can take, which might include depression, exhaustion and a lowered sense of self-worth. Hypnotherapy can help alleviate these issues and restore feelings of hope and confidence.

As a clinical hypnotherapist holding a Pain Specialty certification from the International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association, I instruct my clients how to control their awareness of all their sensations, physical and emotional ones. By using self-hypnosis you can take back control of your life!

Warning: Hypnosis should never be used to mask undiagnosed pain, but only to relieve suffering once medical attention has been provided, if needed.
